The main roles of the YLPS P & C are the running of the Canteen (open 5 days per week) and also the on-site Uniform shop. The on-site Uniform shop is able to keep prices down and also saves parents from having to travel to Clarkson to buy school uniforms.
One of the other roles of the YLPS P & C is to fundraise to provide extra resources for the benefit of the students and to also sponsor an end-of-year whole school Mega Reward day. Fundraising activities include Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day stalls; Easter Raffle; Bake Sales; annual Colour Run. The YLPS P & C is able to subsidise the cost of camps and excursions and has also funded new playground equipment.

Membership is open to all parents and interested community members for an annual fee of $1.00. The YLPS P & C meets together regularly, usually once a term and meeting dates will be advertised on the P & C Facebook page and in the school’s newsletter – the Yarner. Executive Meetings are held electronically when necessary.
